Will the money in our Zeta Account earn interest?

Updated at September 12th, 2023

Yes, the good news is that your whole balance may earn interest, not just your savings! By setting up direct deposit or maintaining a $5,000 minimum daily average balance you can earn up to 2.43% APY on your entire Zeta Account balance (with no limits)2. The APY on your Zeta Accounts is dependent on the Federal Funds Rate, which is a rate that’s set by the federal government. Our banking partners maintain your deposits and pays us a rate based on the federal funds rate. Because the interest rate can fluctuate based on the Federal Funds Rate, you can see your current interest rate within the Zeta app, and on the Zeta website.

We’re constantly working with our banking partners to get you the best APY possible. The APY on your Zeta Account is dependent on the Federal Funds Rate, which is a rate that’s set by the federal government. We keep the money in your Zeta Account at Piermont Bank who maintain your deposits and pay us a rate based on the federal funds rate.
